Privacy policy
Last updated 20 September 2026
This policy covers the Kakshapati Brothers website at kakshapatibrothers.com.np and the KBROTHERS(B2B) mobile app. Both are run by Kakshapati Brothers Pvt. Ltd., a wholesale importer in Kathmandu, Nepal. We sell to retail shops, not to the public, and everything below exists for one reason: filling and delivering wholesale orders.
The short version. We collect what we need to fill your order and to tell wholesale buyers apart from the general public. We do not sell your details, we do not run advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, or ask us to erase your details from the deletion page.
What we collect, and why
When you place an order
You can order without an account. Doing so sends us your shop name, phone number, and — if you choose to give them — your email address and PAN, together with the styles and quantities on your list. We need the name and number to know who the order is from and to call you back about it. PAN is optional and is only used for billing a registered business; leave it blank and nothing about your order changes.
When you register a shop
A wholesale account adds a password, and lets you see wholesale prices once someone at our counter has confirmed you are a genuine retailer. You sign in with your phone number — the same one your orders are filed under — so there is no second name to remember. Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash: we cannot read it, and neither can anyone who obtains the database.
When you turn on new arrival notifications
The app asks your permission first, and only if you switch it on. If you do, we store a push token for that install, the platform it runs on (iOS or Android) and the app version. The token identifies the install, not you, and turning the toggle off deletes it from our side.
Everything at a glance
| Shop name, phone number | Required to place an order. How we identify you and reach you about it. |
|---|---|
| Email address | Optional. Used to send you a copy of an order or to reply to you. |
| PAN | Optional. Used only for billing a registered business. |
| Password | Only if you register. You sign in with your phone number; the password is hashed and cannot be read back. |
| Your orders | Styles, quantities, dates, status. Our record of what was dispatched. |
| Push token | Only if you turn on notifications. Deleted when you turn them off. |
| Server logs | Ordinary web server records — IP address, time, page requested — kept briefly for security and troubleshooting. |
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anyone.
- We do not show advertising in the app or on the website.
- We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not follow you across other apps and websites.
- We do not ask for your location, your contacts, your photos, your camera or your microphone. The app requests one permission — notifications — and only when you turn them on.
- We do not take payment in the app, so we never see card or bank details.
Who else sees it
Only the people and services that have to, and none of them are given your details for their own use:
- Our own staff, at the counter, to fill and dispatch your order.
- Our web host and mailbox provider, who store the database and carry order emails on our behalf.
- Expo, Apple and Google, who relay push notifications — only if you switched them on, and only the notification and its token, never your order details.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it — for example a tax authority acting within its powers.
Where it is stored, and for how long
Data is held on our hosting provider's servers and is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Your cart and your saved shop details are also kept on your own device — in your browser's storage on the website, and in the app's storage on your phone — so you do not have to type them again. Clearing your browser data, or uninstalling the app, removes that local copy.
We keep your account for as long as you have one. We keep orders as our record of goods that were actually dispatched, which a wholesale business has to be able to account for; when you delete your account, those orders are stripped of your shop name, phone number, email and PAN and can no longer be traced back to you.
Deleting your data
There are two ways, and both of them work:
- In the app. Open Account, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. Confirm with your password and your account is erased immediately — no email, no waiting.
- On this website. Use the deletion page. That route works whether or not you ever registered, and whether or not you still have the app installed.
Either way we remove your shop name, phone number, email address and PAN. Your past orders remain in our books as anonymous records of goods dispatched, with nothing in them that points back to you.
Children
This is a wholesale service for retail businesses. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. You can turn notifications off at any time, in the app or in your phone's settings. You can order without an account. Write to us using the details below and we will answer.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your details we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
